Variation rules

The following rules can be set:

Fire

Three aces are 32 pointsWhen a player collects three aces, they aren’t worth 30½ points but 32 points. Sometimes this hand is also called ‘Fire’ and has a higher value than a hand with 31 points.

All players loose a markWhen this rule is activated all players will receive a mark when one player has three aces. So it doesn’t matter how many points the other players have, the will all receive a mark. This rule can only be activated if the previous rule is also active.

Tie

Never with 30½In case the lowest hand has 30½ points and more players have this amount of points, only the player with the lowest cardvalue will receive a mark. When this rule is active a hand with three kings has a higher value than a hand with three sevens.

Never with lowest handIf two hands have the same score, a combination in a higher suit beats an equal scoring combination in a lower suit. The suits are ranked in descending order as: clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds.

Marks

Number of marksWith this rule the number of marks can be set. The number of marks must be between 1 and 4 marks.

Included bonus markWhen this rule is active the first player which has reached the maximum number of marks gets a bonus mark. This means he can play further. After that all players who reach the maximum amount of marks will be out of the game immediately. This rule can only be applied with three marks or less.

One turn allowed after passWhen this rule is applied all players have just one turn left if one player passes. If the rule isn’t applied all players can keep changing cards until only one players hasn’t passed yet. This player has only one turn left if all other players have already passed.

Always a winnerIt is possible that two players in the final round get their final mark in the same round so that no player will win eventually. If this rule is active then this isn’t possible because when this event occurs both player won’t receive that final mark so the can play another round.
